Overview of China UNESCO Heritage Sites
By 2012, overall 43 remarkable sites in China have been endosed by the UNESCO to be included in the list of the World Heritage sites. Nominated by a world-recognised organization, the list announces which and where could we discover valuable heritages on our planet.
These precious heritages are categorized into 3 categories:-
- Cultural Heritage: sites developed by communities of our past generations as a result of their social behavior
- Natural Heritage: sites formed naturally with impressive physical, biological and geological compositions, or countrysides where threathened species habitant
- Mixed Heritage: a combination of cultural and natural heritage

With the World Heritage list, many sites on the list will be marked as must visit on our travel route for those want to explore and see the world, so here we compiled a list of tourist attractions in China based on this information. Of the 43 heritage sites in China, 30 are Cultural Heritage Sites, 9 are Natural Heritage Sites, and the remaining 4 are Mixed Heritage Sites.
