Jingshan Park was the Imperial Garden of Ming and Qing Dynasty. It is located at the highest point in the center axis of Beijing, and is the best spot overlook the Forbidden City panorama.
Jingshan Park is also known as one of the Ming emperor Chongzhen committed suicide by hanging himself from a tree in Jingshan Park. As of now, this park serves the purpose of public leisure.

East Gate: Bus Route 111, 124 and alight at Jingshan East Gate 景山东门
West Gate: Bus Route 5, 609 and alight at Xiban Bridge 西板桥
South Gate: Bus Route 101、103、109、124、202、211、609、685 and alight at Forbidden City stop 故宫
Way to Tour Jingshan Park
Instead of going only to Jingshan, the best way to tour it is by visiting the Forbidden City from the entrance of south gate (from Tiananmen 天安门), and exit at the north gate of Forbidden City, and enter Jingshan Park from the south gate. Jingshan Park is located directly at the north of the Forbidden City and it is able to capture the entire view of the Imperial Palace, after visiting the individual palace clusters, heading up on the hill of Jingshan Park to enjoy the overview of Forbidden City completes the whole Gugong visit perfectly.
