Panada, the emblem of China, could only be found wild in the territory of China. Most of them habitat in Sichuan. The Sichuan sanctuaries established the largest habitat for the endangered species for captive breeding. Beside Giant Pandas the sanctuaries also serves as a refuge for other threatening species such as red panda, snow leopard and clouded leopard. To distinguish the effort in protecting and nourishing endangered species, the Sichuan Giant Panda Sanctuaries were classified as a UNESCO natural heritage in 2006.
